My purpose is to present weather facts and observations that would of of interest to people who have in interest in sciences in general and meteorology in particular. This will not be like a text book; instead, these postings will be aimed at people with some background or at least an interest in natural sciences. When I was a teenager, I had considerable interest in weather and read books about meteorology that were aimed at kids. I quickly outgrew them. However, the college level text books on meteorology were too advanced for me. Books written for people that understood weather better than most teenagers, but are not ready to tackle college level text books did not seem to exist. I hope that the discussions that will follow will cover the gap that exists between kids books and college texts. The following discussions, which will be posted very few days or weeks will be about weather events of current or recent interests. Occasionally, I will debunk some weather myths or weather misinformation.
